Pavel Buchnevich scored in the 4th round of the shootout and Jordan Binnington finished with 40 saves as the St. Louis Blues start their five-game road trip with a 2-1 win in Philadelphia. Kevin Hayes also scored for the Blues who will take on the New York Islanders tonight at 6:00 on KSMO Radio.

The Missouri Basketball Tigers will face #11 ranked Auburn tonight at 7:30 at Mizzou Arena. The game will NOT be heard on KSMO due to St. Louis Blues Hockey. Missouri has lost 16 straight games in a row and are 8-21 overall and 0-16 in the SEC Conference.

The Washington Nationals scored the only run of the game on a 4th inning sacrifice fly as they beat St. Louis Monday, 1-0. Cardinal pitcher Sonny Gray suffered tightness in his hamstring and left the game early. The Cardinals will play the Minnesota Twins today in Jupiter.

The St. Louis Blues beat the Minnesota Wild Saturday afternoon, 3-1 before heading out on a five-game road trip. Jake Neighbours got the game winning goal in 2nd period after Alexey Toropchenko got the first St. Louis goal. Torey Krug sealed the win with an empty net goal. The Blues will be in Philadelphia tonight to face the Flyers at 5:30 on KSMO Radio.

Ole Miss jumped out to a 19-point lead at halftime, then held off the charge by Missouri late sending them to their 16th straight loss Saturday night, 84-78. The Tigers had four players in double figures lead by Sean East II with 27 points followed by Aiden Shaw and Tamar Bates each netted 13 points and Nick Honor had 12 points. Missouri has lost 16 straight games in a row and are 8-21 overall and 0-16 in the SEC Conference.

The St. Louis Cardinals game with Miami Sunday was rained out while they lost Saturday to Houston, 7-1. The Cardinals are 3-4-2 on the spring and will play the Washington Nationals this afternoon in Jupiter.

Kansas City scored five runs in the 3rd inning and beat Cincinnati Sunday, 7-3. The Royals are now 8-3 this spring and they will have today off before playing the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers got out to a great start Thursday night in St. James in the Class 4, District 3 semi-final and led the Blair Oak Falcons after one quarter, 11-5, but the Falcons took advantage of numerous Salem 2nd quarter turnovers and went on a 15-0 run to take the lead at half, then scored 21 points in both the 3rd and 4th quarter to beat Salem, 69-49. Tre Richter led Salem with 16 points followed by Kaiden Gately with 12. Salem finished the year with a 15-13 record.

The St. Louis Blues return home after going 0-2-1 on their recent road trip to play the Wild of Minnesota Saturday at 5:00 which is a time change from the original schedule. That game can be heard on KSMO Radio.

Newcomer Kyle Gibson threw two innings giving up three runs as the St. Louis Cardinals lost to the Washington Nationals Thursday, 3-1. The Cardinals are now 2-3-2 for the spring and face the New York Mets today. The St. Louis Cardinals tied the game with Boston Tuesday on a bases loaded walk as the teams played to a 3-3 nine inning tie. St. Louis is 2-1-2 for the spring. The Cards play the New York Mets today.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced that they have signed free-agent shortstop and lifetime San Francisco Giants star Brandon Crawford to a one-year contract for 2024.

The Salem JV Boys Basketball team beat Ava by the score of 49-28 on Friday night bringing their season record to 21-3. The Salem JV team also won the SCA Conference JV schedule with a perfect 7-0 record. Braiden Gapsch scored 11 of his 14 points in the 4th quarter to help lead the Salem Tigers past the St. Clair Bulldogs on Senior Night Tuesday night at the SHS Gym, 50-41. Landon Richter scored 13 points for the Tigers who also got 11 points form Tre Richter. Salem improves to 13-12 on the year and they wrap up their regular season Friday night in the Homecoming game against Ava with the festivities between the JV and varsity games.

The Salem Boys Basketball JV won their 20th game of the year as they beat St. Clair, 40-31. The Tigers play Ava Friday at 6:00 and go for their second straight year of sweeping the SCA Conference as they are 6-0 in conference play.

The Missouri Tigers fell to Tennessee Tuesday, 72-67 and have lost 13 games in a row. Sean East had 24 points and Noah Carter followed with 20 as Missouri remains winless in the SEC Conference. They will be at Arkansas Saturday morning at 10:30.
