The Salem Tigers Basketball team beat the Ava Bears Friday night, 65-57 in the final regular season game. Kaiden Gately lead the Salem Tigers with 21 points followed by Tre Richter with 13 and Landon Richter with ten more. The Tigers finish the regular season with a 14-12 record and are 4-3 in the SCA Conference. In District play, Salem is seeded 4th and will play the 5th seeded St. James Tigers at 5:30 Tuesday night at St. James. The game will be heard on KSMO Radio and audio streamed on KSMO Media including ksmoradio.com, KSMO Stream Facebook Page and the KSMO YouTube Page. The contest will be video streamed on MSHSAA.TV by KSMO Media but there is a charge to watch the game through MSHSAA.TV. Admission at the game will be $6.00 for anyone six years of age and older. The winner of the game will play Blair Oaks Thursday night at 5:30 at St. James.

The Salem JV Boys Basketball team beat Ava by the score of 49-28 on Friday night bringing their season record to 21-3. The Salem JV team also won the SCA Conference JV schedule with a perfect 7-0 record. Congratulations to the all the Salem JV Tigers as well as Coach Jordan McClaurin and Coach Jared Patterson on the incredible season.

The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers will be at St. Francis Borgia tonight to face the Lady Knights in the first round of Class 4 District 3 playoffs at 7:00. The Lady Tigers enter the game with a 5-20 mark while the Borgia Lady Knights are 11-12 on the season. Admission is $6 for everyone six years of age and older.

Detroit scored three goals in the first four minutes and four goals in the 1st period in defeating the St. Louis Blues Saturday, 6-1. The Blues will be Winnipeg Tuesday night.

The Missouri Tigers lost their 14th straight falling to Arkansas Saturday, 88-73. Sean East II had 33 points to lead the Tigers who fall to 8-19 on the year. They will play Wednesday at Florida.

The St. Louis Cardinals beat Houston Sunday, 3-0 and are now 2-1 in spring training play. They will play Miami this afternoon.
