The Salem Boys and Girls Cross-Country Teams will be at Houston this afternoon for the Houston Invitational starting at 4:00.
The St. Louis Blues will host Arizona tonight at 7:00 after capturing three of four points this past weekend going 1-0-1. You can hear the game on KSMO starting at 6:30 with the pre-game show.
The Missouri Football Tigers will host South Carolina this Saturday afternoon starting at 2:30. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio. Missouri is ranked #20 in the latest national polls. They are 6-1 on the year and are already Bowl eligible.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers lost to the Cuba Lady Wildcats Tuesday night in district play, but they did not go quietly. After Cuba won the first two sets, 25-16 and 25-23; the Lady Tigers won the next two by the scores of 25-13 and 30-28, before falling in the 5th game, 15-9. Thank you Lady Tigers and Coach Atkinson for all your hard work.
The Salem Middle School Girls Basketball “A” team defeated Cuba Monday evening, 51-21, while the “B” team fell to the Lady Wildcats, 22-14. The game with Bunker this Thursday has been postponed.

The Salem JV Football Tigers lost to Mountain View-Liberty Monday, 30-6. Tyson Conners had a 75-yard TD run for Salem and Andrew Bennett had two interceptions. The Salem JV finished the year with a 2-5 record.

Senior Carter Pruett ran for four touchdowns and passed for two more scores Saturday as the Mountain View-Liberty Eagles celebrated their Homecoming festivities by beating the Salem Tigers Saturday, 53-0. Salem falls to 1-7 and will be at Cabool in their final regular season game before districts begin on October 27th.
The Salem Junior Varsity Football Tigers will be at Mountain View-Liberty this evening at 6:00 to face the Eagles. This will be the JV’s last regular season. They are 2-4 going into the game.
The Middle School Girls Basketball Tigers lost to Vienna in the Bland Tournament Championship game Friday night, 26-24 to take 2nd place in the tournament. Great job girls!

Trailing 14-0, the Missouri Tigers got the spark they needed on a fake punt when punter Luke Bauer therw a touchdown pass to Marquis Johnson as Missouri then rolled to a 38-21 win over #24 Kentucky. Brady Cook threw for one score and ran for another as the Tigers improve to 6-1. The Tigers will host South Carolina Saturday at 2:30.
Robert Thomas scored the only goal in the shoot-out as the St. Louis Blues beat the Seattle Kracken Saturday night, 2-1. Jordan Kyrou scored the only Blues regulation goal. The Blues host Arizona Thursday night at 6:30 on KSMO.

The Salem Varsity Football Tigers will be at Mountain View-Liberty Saturday afternoon at 2:00 to face the Eagles. It will be the Eagles Homecoming. Salem enters the game with a 1-6 record and 1-4 in the SCA. Mountain View is 4-3 on the year and 4-1 in the SCA Conference. The Lady Volleyball Tigers fell to Mountain Grove Thursday night in three straight sets. Salem finishes the regular season with a 5-25-3 record. They will play Cuba in District play Tuesday afternoon at 5:00 at Owensville.
The Salem 7th Grade Football Tigers shutout West Plains Thursday night, 34-0 and finished the regular season with a 5-1 record. The Salem 8th Grade Football Tigers lost to West Plains by the score of 34-0 to finished with a 2-4 record on the year.
The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Denver Broncos Thursday night by the score of 19-8. The Chiefs are 5-1 on the year while Denver is 1-5. They will play the Chargers next Sunday.
The St. Louis Blues lost to the Dallas Stars Thursday night in the shoot-out, 2-1. The only Blues goal was scored by Tyler Tucker. The Blues home opener is this Saturday night when they host Seattle at 6:30 on KSMO Radio.
The Middle School Girls Basketball Tigers beat Bland Thursday night, 38-32 to move into the Bland Tournament Championship game to be held Friday night at 8:15.
The Missouri Tigers will be at Kentucky Saturday to face the Wildcats in SEC Conference play at 6:30. Both teams are 5-1 going into the game. It will NOT be heard on KSMO due to St. Louis Blues Hockey.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers will be at Mountain Grove tonight for their last regular season contest Thursday night starting at 5:30 with the JV match with the varsity games to follow. Salem comes into the contest with a 5-24-3 record.
The Salem 7th and 8th Grade Football Tigers will be in action tonight against the West Plains Middle School at West Plains in their final games of the year starting at 5:30. The 7th graders are 4-1 while the 8th graders are 2-3 on the year.
The Kansas City Chiefs will face Denver tonight in Thursday Night Football. The Chiefs are 4-1 on the year while Denver is 1-4. The game will be on the NFL Network or Prime Network.
The St. Louis Blues will open their regular season on the road in Dallas tonight starting at 7:00 against the Stars. You can hear the pre-game show on KSMO beginning at 6:30.

Stetson Mobray was named to the SCA All- Conference team from the Middle School SCA Cross Country Meet in Willow Springs finishing 9th with a time of 10:40:56!

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers beat Plato on Senior Night in three straight games: 25015, 25-17 and 25-20. The JV and freshman also won in two straight games. The Salem Varsity is now 4-20-3 on the year and they will be at Mountain View – Liberty tonight to face the Lady Eagles with the JV contest first at 5:30 with the varsity game to follow.

At the SCA Cross Country meet held in Willow Springs, Alex Diehl was the SCA Conference Champion finishing with a time of 17:36 as the Salem Boys Cross Country Team took 2nd in the conference. Kurtis Dehart was also named to the SCA All-Conference team. The Salem Lady Tigers Cross County Team took 4th place. Ella Schlag and Zoey Elliott were named to All SCA Conference team. Last Thurday, the Salem Girls Cross Country team finished 4th at the Licking Cross Country meet while the Boys finished 5th. The last meet for the Cross Country teams will be at Vienna on Monday, October 16th.

Quarterback Aden Estep rushed for four 205 yards and four touchdowns as the Mountain Grove Panthers shutout the Salem Football Tigers Friday night, 39-0. Salem falls to 1-6 on the year and 1-4 in the SCA Conference. They will be at Mountain View-Liberty Saturday afternoon at 2:00 to face the Eagles.
The Salem JV Football Tigers will host Mountain Grove tonight at 5:30. There will not be a freshman game tonight. The JV enters the game with a 2-3 record.

Two Missouri turnovers game LSU 14 points as the Fighting Tigers beat Mizzou Saturday at Faurot Field, 49-39. Missouri falls to 5-1 and 1-1 in the SEC Conference. The Tigers will be at Kentucky Saturday to play the Wildcats.
Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce caught 2nd half touchdown passes from Patrick Mahomes as the Kansas City Chiefs edged Minnesota Sunday, 27-20. The Chief are now 4-1 and they play Denver Thursday night.
Robert Thomas scored two goals to held the St. Louis Blues beat Chicago Saturday night, 5-3. The Blues finished the preseason with a 4-2-2 record and will play Dallas Thursday night.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers beat the Ava Lady Bears in three straight games Thursday night in SCA Conference play at the Salem High School Gym: 25-15, 25-16 and 25-16. The JV also won Thursday night in two straight sets. Salem is 3-18-2 on the year and 2-3 in the SCA Conference. The Salem Lady Tigers will play in the Licking High School Volleyball Classic Saturday.

The Salem 7th and 8th Grade Football Tigers both lost to the Houston Tigers Thursday night at the SHS Football Field. The 7th graders lost by the score of 8-0 and fall to 4-1 on the year. The 8th graders were beat 48-14 and fall to 2-3 on the season. The 7th and 8th graders last games will be next week against the West Plains Middle school at West Plains.
