Chloe Jones finished with 30 points as the Willow Springs Lady Bears battled back to beat the Salem Tigers Thursday night, 52-49. Salem was led by Fayth Kaminski with 20 points followed by Emily Strange with 17 more. Salem falls to 4-12 on the season and are 1-1 in the SCA Conference. The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers will host the Owensville Dutchgirls Tuesday night starting with the JV game at 5:30 with the varsity game to follow.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers will be in Houston tonight to face the Tigers starting with the JV game at 6:00 followed by the varsity contest. Salem is 7-6 on the year. The varsity game can be heard on KSMO Radio and audio streamed on KSMO Media.

The Missouri Tigers will play South Carolina Saturday afternoon at 2:00.Missouri is 8-7 on the year and 0-2 in the SEC Conference.

Jordan Kyrou had the hat trick as the St. Louis Blues beat the New York Rangers Thursday night, 5-2. Brandon Saad and Pavel Buchnevich also scored for the Blues who will host the Boston Bruins Saturday night at 6:30.

The Kansas City Chiefs will be hosting the Miami Dolphins Saturday night at 7:00 on “Wild Card” weekend. Both teams are 11-6 going into the game. It will be televised ONLY on the Peacock Network which is a video streaming subscription service. The winner will play the winner of the Buffalo/Pittsburgh game.

The Salem Freshman Boys game at Waynesville tonight has been canceled due to the moving of their varsity game Friday to Thursday to beat the weather.

The St. Louis Blues will host the New York Rangers tonight. Due to Lady Tiger basketball, the game will be delayed on KSMO until 9:00.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers are seeded third in the Houston Community Foundation Varsity Boys Basketball Tournament that will begin Monday at the Houston High School Gym. Salem will play Monday night in the 4th game of the evening starting around 8:30. They will take on Fordland who is the #6 seed. The winner will play Thursday at 7:00 and the loser will play at 7:00 Tuesday night. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio.

Matthew Tkachuk scored the hat trick as the Florida Panthers beat St. Louis Tuesday, 5-1. Brayden Schenn had the only Blues goal as they will host the New York Rangers Thursday night. Due to Lady Tiger basketball, the game will be delayed on KSMO until 9:00.

The Missouri Tigers lost to the #6 ranked Kentucky Wildcats Tuesday, 90-77. Noah Carter led Missouri with 20 points with Sean East II adding 19 more. Missouri is 8-7 on the year and 0-2 in the SEC Conference. They will play South Carolina Saturday afternoon at 2:00.

The Salem Tigers Boys basketball game with Osage Monday was postponed. No makeup date has yet been set. The Tigers will be in Houston Friday Friday to face the Tigers starting with the JV game at 6:00 followed by the varsity contest. Salem is 7-6 on the year.

The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers game at Cabool Monday was postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date. The Lady Tigers next game will be Thursday when they host Willow Springs at 6:00. St. Louis Blues will host the Florida Panthers tonight. The start of the game will be delayed on KSMO until 8:30 after Missouri basketball. The Blues have won two straight and three of the last four games.

The Salem Freshman Boys lost to Waynesville last Thursday, 40-30. The freshman record is now 4-5 on the season. The Freshman will have a rematch with the Freshman Waynesville Tiger next Thursday at Waynesville.

Brayden Schenn scored in the 5^th round of the shoot-out to give the St. Louis Blues a 2-1 win over Carolina Saturday night. Nathan Walker also scored for the Blues who will host the Florida Panthers Tuesday night. The game will be delayed on KSMO starting at 8:30.

Robert Thomas will represent the St. Louis Blues at 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend from February 1-3 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. It is his first All-Star selection.

The Georgia Bulldogs held off Missouri Saturday in each teams first SEC Conference game and beat the Tigers at Mizzou Arena, 75-68. Sean East II scored 18 points to lead Missouri followed by Tamar Bates with 15 points and Aiden Shaw with 14 more. The Missouri Basketball Tigers will be at Kentucky Tuesday night at 5:30. That game can be heard on KSMO Radio. Missouri is 8-6 on the year.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced Friday they have acquired right-handed relief pitcher and former All-Star Andrew Kittredge from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for outfielder Richie Palacios. The 33-year-old Kittredge has compiled a career mark of 18-7 with a 3.65 ERA in seven seasons, all with Tampa Bay. The 6-1, 230-pound Washington native was an American League All-Star selection in 2021 when he appeared in a career high 57 games and posted a 1.88 ERA in his 71.2 innings pitched.

Harrison Butker kicked a 41-yard field goal with under a minute left to give Kansas City a 13-12 win over the LA Chargers. The Chiefs finished the regular season with an 11-6 record. The Chiefs will play Miami Saturday night at Arrowhead in Wild Card Weekend.

Robert Thomas scored the game winning goal in the 3rd period as the St. Louis Blues edged the Vancouver Canucks Thursday, 2-1. Colton Parayko also scored for the Blues who will take on Carolina Saturday night starting at 6:30 on KSMO Radio.

The Salem Basketball Lady Tigers open their SCA Conference schedule tonight against the Houston Lady Basketball Tigers in a varsity only game starting at 6:00. Salem has a 3-11 record.

The St. Louis Cardinals Caravan is returning to Rolla on Saturday, January 13th, with the 2022 Rawlings Gold Glove Winner Brendan Donovan headlining the event! The Caravan will be held in the Rolla High School Gym and is scheduled to start at 5:30 in the afternoon with the doors opening around 5:00 PM. In addition to Donovan, this year’s attendees will feature current St. Louis Cardinals and former Springfield Cardinals catcher Ivan Herrera, newly-signed right handed pitcher Nick Robertson and right handed pitcher Max Rajcic. Former St. Louis Cardinals Rick Ankiel and Ryan Ludwick will also be a part of the Caravan. Cardinals Radio Broadcasters Rick Horton and Mike Claiborne will emcee the program. As in previous years, the St. Louis Cardinals will be implementing an Autograph Ticket system at each stop of the Caravan. The first 400 kids (15 and under) through the door on the day of the event will receive a free Autograph Ticket which guarantees one autograph from each current and former player. Autographs will only be available for fans 15 and under.

Bunker’s Maddy Dickerson scored with one second left and tied the game with Salem at 38-38, forcing overtime where Kinsey Barton led Bunker to a 52-46 win at the Salem High School gym Tuesday. Barton led all scorers with 23 points including the assist on Dickerson’s game tying basket. Salem was led by Addison Fulton with 22 points followed by Fayth Kaminski with 13 points and 18 rebounds. Bunker improves to 6-5 with the win while Salem falls to 3-11. The Lady Eagles will be at Clearwater Thursday. Salem will be at Houston Thursday.

The Bunker Eagles jumped out to a 16-4 lead in the 1st quarter and never relinquished the lead as they beat Salem Tuesday night, 66-43. Bunker was led by Brennen Meloy who scored 25 points, Ashton Soard who netted 16 and Owen Sanders who scored 12. Salem was led by Haiden Sanders who scored 18 points. Bunker is now 6-5 and will play Clearwater Thursday while Salem is now 7-6 and they will be off until Monday when they host the Osage Indians.

The Salem Boys Basketball Team beat Dora Friday afternoon, 70-59 to capture the Losers Bracket Final at the Cabool Holiday Tournament. Salem went 3-1 in the tournament and are now 7-5 on the year. They will host the Bunker Eagles tonight around 6:45. Bunker is coming off a 53-45 win over East Carter Friday. They are 5-5 on the year. The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers lost to Ava Friday in the Consolation Championship game at the Mountain Grove Holiday Tournament, 41-37. Salem is 3-10 on the year and will play the Bunker Lady Eagles tonight starting just after 5:30. The Lady Eagles are coming off a heartbreaking 66-60 overtime loss to East Carter Friday night. The Lady Eagles are 5-5 on the year. This game can be heard on KSMO Radio and video streamed on KSMO Media.

The Missouri Football Tigers scored 14 fourth quarter points to come back and beat Ohio State Friday night to capture the Cotton Bowl, 14-3. Cody Schrader ran the ball 29 times for 128 yards and a touchdown. Missouri finished the year with an 11-2 record.

The Missouri Basketball Tigers smothered Central Arkansas Saturday, 92-59 with Tamar Bates scoring 25 points followed by Sean East II with 16 more. Missouri stopped their three-game losing streak and are 8-5 on the year. They will play Georgia Saturday in their first SEC Conference game of the year at noon.

The Kansas City Chiefs defense stood tall and Harrison Butker kicked six field goals to lead the Kansas City Chiefs to their eighth straight AFC West Division Crown with a 25-17 win over Cincinnati Sunday. The Chiefs will play the LA Chargers in their regular season finale.

The St. Louis Blues dropped a 2-1 decision to Colorado Friday night, then fell to the Pittsburgh Penguins Saturday night, 4-2. The Blues will be off until Thursday night when they play the Vancouver Canucks.

It took two overtimes, but the Salem Boys Basketball Team beat Summersville Thursday, 86-84, and will play in the losers bracket final today at 2:00 against Dora at the Cabool Holiday Tournament. The Tigers are 6-5.

The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers beat Mansfield Thursday, 42-29 in the Mountain Grove Holiday Tournament. Salem is 3-9 on the year and will play in the consolation final at 10:00 AM today.

The 9th ranked Missouri Football Tigers will face the 7th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl at 7:00 tonight and you can hear the game on KSMO Radio.

The St. Louis Blues will host Colorado tonight, but the game will not be heard on KSMO due to Missouri Football. The Blues will be at Pittsburgh Saturday night at 5:30 and you can hear the game on KSMO. The Blues have won their last three games.

The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday afternoon at 3:25. The Chiefs have lost their last two and four of their last six. The Chiefs have a two game lead on Las Vegas for the AFC West Division.
