The Salem Basketball Tigers fell to the Thayer Bobcats Tuesday night, 67-36 as Aiden Burns scored 22 points to lead the Bobcats. Landon Rictor led Salem with 11 points. Salem is now 2-2 in the SCA Conference and 11-11 overall. The Tigers will be at Mountain View-Liberty Friday night.

The Salem JV Boys Basketball Tigers will play in the Bourbon JV Tournament that begins tonight at Bourbon. Since Salem received a 1st round bye by being the top seed, they will not play until Saturday morning at 11:30 against either Cuba or Owensville at Bourbon. The winner of that game will play in the championship game at 3:15 Saturday afternoon. The loser will play in the 3rd place game at 2:00 Saturday at Bourbon.

Tyra Haffer scored 22 points and captured 11 rebounds to help Cuba beat Salem Monday, 57-21. Salem falls to 4-18 on the season and have lost their last seven games in a row. Kolby James scored 22 points while Jace Rogers added 20 more as the Willow Springs Bears handed the Salem Tigers their first loss in the SCA Conference Friday night by the score of 72-57. Braiden Gapsch had seven 3-pointers in the game for Salem who falls to 2-1 in the SCA Conference and 11-10 overall. They will host the Thayer Bobcats Tuesday night starting with one-half a freshman game at 5:30 followed by the JV and varsity games. The Missouri Tigers lost to Vanderbilt Saturday afternoon, 68-61 for their ninth straight loss. The Tigers were led in scoring by Noah Carter with 20 points while Tamar Bates added 17 more.. Kaiden Gately scored 20 points to lead the Salem Tigers to a 56-46 win over the Cabool Bulldogs Tuesday night at Cabool. Tre Rictor and Landon Rictor each scored 13 points in the win as the Salem Tigers improve to 2-0 in the SCA Conference and are 11-9 on the season. Salem will host Willow Springs Friday night in another key SCA Conference game starting with a half of a freshman game at 5:00 followed by the JV game with the varsity game starting near 7:00. The St. Louis Blues dropped a 1-0 decision to the Columbus Blue Jackets Tuesday night to end their five-game winning streak. The Blues will be off until Saturday, February 10th when they play at Buffalo at noon.

Hadley Meyer scored 26 points and had nine rebounds as the Thayer Lady Bobcats stopped the Salem Lady Tigers Monday night, 73-27. Emily Strange led Salem with 10 points. Salem will be at Mountain View-Liberty to face the Lady Eagles in SCA Conference play Thursday night at 6:00. Salem is 4-16 on the year and 1-2 in the SCA Conference.

The St. Louis Blues will host the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight at 7:00. KSMO will delay the game until after Salem Basketball. The Blues have won five straight games. Following the game, the Blues will have ten days off for the All-Star Break.

Friday night, the Waynesville Tigers slowed the game down and played tight defense as they held on to beat Salem, 45-41. Salem was led by Braiden Gapsch with 15 points on five 3-pointers. They fall to 10-9 on the year and will be at Cabool Tuesday night for an SCA Conference contest. Salem is 1-0 in the SCA.

The Salem Boys JV also fell to Waynesville Friday night, 34-28 to fall to 10-2 on the year. They will be at Cabool Tuesday night at 6:00.

Brayden Schenn scored in overtime Sunday as the St. Louis Blues beat the LA Kings, 4-3 for the 5^th straight win and 3^rd straight win in overtime. Friday night, Pavel Buchnevich scored in overtime against Seattle for the winner. The Blues host Columbus Tuesday night at 6:30.

Two Baltimore 4^th quarter turnovers in the end zone forced by the tough Kansas City defense, and 1^st half touchdowns by Travis Kelce and Isiah Pacheko gave the Chiefs the AFC Championship with a 17-10 win Sunday over the Ravens. The Chiefs will play the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 11^th at 5:30.

The Sullivan Lady Eagles went on a 17-4 run in the 2nd quarter led by two 3-pointers from Karlee Head as they went on to beat the Salem Lady Tigers Thursday, 51-39. Fayth Kaminski scored 20 points and finished with ten rebounds while Addison Fulton netted 10 points. The Lady Tigers are 4-15 and will be home to face the Thayer Lady Bobcats Monday at the SHS Gym starting with the JV game at 6:00 followed by the varsity game. The varsity game will be on KSMO Media.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers beat Houston Thursday, 61-38 to go to 10-8 on the year and 1-0 in the SCA Conference. Tre Richter had 17 points to lead the Tigers followed by Landen Richter who had 11 points. The JV also won, 74-41 with Braydon Radford leading the way with 24 points. The Tigers will be at Waynesville tonight starting at 6:00 with the JV contest with the varsity match to follow. The game can be heard on KSMO Radio.

The St. Louis Blues go for the 4th straight win as they wrap up their three-game road trip in Seattle tonight at 9:00 on KSMO. The game will be joined in progress after Salem Basketball. The Blues will also play Los Angeles Sunday afternoon at 12:30 on KSMO Radio.
