Friday night, the Waynesville Tigers slowed the game down and played tight defense as they held on to beat Salem, 45-41. Salem was led by Braiden Gapsch with 15 points on five 3-pointers. They fall to 10-9 on the year and will be at Cabool Tuesday night for an SCA Conference contest. Salem is 1-0 in the SCA.

The Salem Boys JV also fell to Waynesville Friday night, 34-28 to fall to 10-2 on the year. They will be at Cabool Tuesday night at 6:00.

The Salem Lady Tigers will host Thayer tonight at the SHS Gym starting with the JV game at 6:00 followed by the varsity game. The varsity game will be on heard on KSMO Radio and will be video streamed on KSMO Media. Salem is 4-15 on the year and 1-1 in the SCA Conference.

Brayden Schenn scored in overtime Sunday as the St. Louis Blues beat the LA Kings, 4-3 for the 5th straight win and 3rd straight win in overtime. Friday night, Pavel Buchnevich scored in overtime against Seattle for the winner. The Blues host Columbus Tuesday night at 6:30.

Two Baltimore 4th quarter turnovers in the end zone forced by the tough Kansas City defense, and 1st half touchdowns by Travis Kelce and Isiah Pacheko gave the Chiefs the AFC Championship with a 17-10 win Sunday over the Ravens. The Chiefs will play the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 11th at 5:30.
