The Salem Baseball Tigers will host Mountain View-Liberty this afternoon starting at 4:30 in SCA Conference play at the SHS Baseball Complex. Salem has won their last three games. The Salem Varsity Track team will participate in the West Plains Invitational starting at 2:30 this afternoon. LATE CHANGE: The salem track team will NOT be going to West Plains today, they will be going to Owensville FRIDAY at 4:00.
The Salem Tennis team took first in the Salem Invitational Wednesday with Tatum Hatridge placing first individually. The Salem Tennis team match at Licking today has been cancelled.
The Salem Golf team will host an SCA Conference Practice open starting at 10:00 this morning.
It's back! The Healthy Dent County Fitness Center will again offer Line Dancing Classes beginning TONIGHT at 6:00 at the Salem Community Center @ The Armory with instructor Rosalie Wright. The cost is $5.00 per person each night of the class and you can pay at the door. For more information or if you any questions, please call 739-1127.
Yadier Molina was acknowledge for catching the 2,000th game of his career at the start of the game Wednesday, but that was the hi-light of the contest for the Cardinals as they fell to Washington, 6-0. Adam Wainwright fell to 0-2 on the year giving up four runs in five innings. The Cards are off today.
Carlos Santana hit a two-run homer and Salvador Perez added a solo shot as Kansas City beat the LA Angels of Anaheim, 6-1. The Royals will open a four-game series with Toronto tonight at Kaufmann Stadium.
Mike Hoffman had two goals, but the St. Louis Blues lost to Colorado Wednesday, 4-3. The Blues play Arizona Saturday afternoon at 4:00. The game will be delayed until 6:30 due to Cards’ baseball and can be heard on KSMO Radio.

The Salem Tiger Tennis Team lost to the Willow Springs Bears Tuesday, 9 games to none. Salem will host the rescheduled Salem Invitational this morning at 10:00 at the Salem City Park.
The Salem Golf Team will be at St. James for their Invitational starting at 8:00 this morning.
Paul Goldschmidt, Matt Carpenter and Aaron Arenado homered and Goldschmidt, Carpenter, Arenado and Justin Williams all drove in three runs each as St. Louis beat Washington, 14-3. The Cardinals and Nationals game today starts at 11:20 on KSMO Radio.
Danny Duffy went six innings giving up eight hits and a run as Kansas City Beat the LA Angels of Anaheim, 3-2. Witt Merrifield had two hits and scored twice while Carlos Santana drove in two runs for Kansas City. The Royals and LA Angels of Anaheim play this afternoon at Kaufmann Stadium.
The St. Louis Blues will play Colorado tonight at the Enterprise Center at 6:00 on KSMO Radio. The Blues have won their last three games.

The Salem Baseball Tigers scored eight runs in the 5th inning to beat Thayer, 13-2 after five innings. Salem had 15 hits in the game. Kaiden Dubois had three hits and two RBI in the game while Collin Heavin had a hit and drove in three runs. Salem has won 3 straight and are 4-6 on the year, 2-0 in the SCA. The Tigers next game will be Thursday when they host Mountain View-Liberty at 4:30.
The Salem Tennis team lost to Rolla Monday, 5 games to none. The match had to be called due to lightning with four games left to play. Salem will play at Willow Springs today at 4:00 then host the Salem Invitational at 10:00 at the Salem City Park Wednesday morning at 10:00. Coach Hubbs also said the Licking match for Thursday has been cancelled. The Licking tennis team has been quarantined due to COVID.
The Salem track teams will host the Salem Invitational today starting at 2:30.
The Washington Nationals beat St. Louis Monday night, 5-2. Yadier Molina homered for the Red Birds who lost their 3rd straight game. The Cardinals and Nationals will tangle again tonight starting at 5:50 on KSMO Radio.
The LA Angels of Anaheim beat the Kansas City Royals Monday, 10-3 hammering out 14 hits. The Royals will host the LA Angels of Anaheim tonight.
The St. Louis Blues game with Minnesota Monday was postponed due to a curfew issued in St. Paul by their mayor. The Blues will host Colorado Wednesday at the Enterprise Center at 6:00.

The Salem Baseball Tigers will be at Thayer Monday afternoon at 4:30. You can hear the game starting at 4:15 on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com with Tiger Talk and Coach Phillip Karr. Salem enters the game with a 3-6 record and 1-0 in the SCA Conference. The Tigers have won their last two games.
The Salem Tiger Tennis Team will host the Rolla Bulldogs today starting at 4:00. Salem is 4-0 on the season. Salem will then travel to Willow Springs for SCA Conference play Tuesday at 4:00.
The Milwaukee Brewers scored nine runs and hit two homers on Saturday, then turned around and scored nine more runs on Sunday hitting three homers as they took two of the three games in the series at Busch Stadium from the Cardinals with a 9-5 Saturday and a 9-3 win on Sunday. St. Louis will host the Washington Nationals tonight starting on KSMO Radio right after Salem Baseball.
Tyler O” Neil suffered a tight groin muscle and has been put on the 10-day injured list and Lane Thomas was called up to replace O’Neill.
After the game Saturday with the Chicago White Sox was postponed due to bad weather, the Kansas City Royals tied the game in the 9th on a lead off homer by Carlos Santana, then won it in the 10th inning on an error, 4-3. Witt Merrifield had two hits and an RBI. Greg Holland (1-1) pitched two scoreless innings for the win. The Royals will host the LA Angels of Anaheim tomorrow night.
Ryan O’Reilly scored a hat trick Friday night and Jaden Schwartz added two goals as 15 different Blues’ players got a point in a 9-1 blasting of the Minnesota Wild. Other Blues scorers were Sammy Blais, Justin Faulk, Zach Sanford and Ivan Barbashev. On Saturday night, Ryan O’Reilly scored in overtime with two seconds left as the Blues came back and beat the Wild for a second straight night, 3-2. Mike Huffman scored two goals including the game tying goal with 46 seconds left. The Blues and Wild will tangle again tonight and you can hear the game on a delayed basis starting at 9:30 on KSMO Radio.

The Salem Tigers baseball game with Willow Springs Thursday was postponed due to wet grounds and was rescheduled for Saturday, May 1st at 1:00 at Willow Springs. Late registration will be held from April 10th through the 18th for $35 per child. Nolan Arenado hit a two-run homer in the 8th inning to propel the St. Louis Cardinals to a 3-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers in the Cards home opener. Tyler O’Neil singled in a run in the 7th inning. The Cards will be off today before playing Milwaukee Saturday and Sunday at 12:20 each day on KSMO Radio.
Lance Lynn pitched a nine-inning complete game giving up five hits and no runs in the Chicago White Sox 6-0 win over Kansas City. The Royals will be off today and play the Chicago White Sox at 1:00 Saturday and Sunday.

Yadier Molina’s 7th inning two-run homer and Dylan Carlson’s 9th inning grand slam led the Cardinals to a 7-0 win over Miami Wednesday. The Red Birds will host Milwaukee today for their home opener at 1:40 on KSMO Radio.
Jose Ramirez hit two homers as the Cleveland Indians beat the Kansas City Royals, 4-2 on Wednesday. The Royals will be at Chicago for the White Sox opener this afternoon.
The St. Louis Blues snapped their seven-game losing streak beating the Golden Knights, 3-1. Vladimir Tarasenko, Sammy Blair and Jake Walman scored for the Blues who will host Minnesota this Friday and Saturday at 7:00 each evening on KSMO Radio.

Salem scored 11 runs on ten hits and got great pitching from Baylor Petty as Salem beat St. James Tuesday, 11-2. Jimmy Barton had three RBI while Garrett Connell, Eli Wethy and Petty each had two RBI in the game. Salem will be at Willow Springs Thursday afternoon at 4:30 in another SCA Conference matchup.

Tommy Edma n homered as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Miami Marlins Monday night, 4-1. The Cards will play the Marlins again today at 5:40. KSMO will again join the game in progress after Salem Baseball.

Nick Castellanos and Tyler Naquin each hit three-run homers as the Cincinnati Reds pounded the St. louis Cardinals Sunday, 12-1. Carlos Martinez went five innings and gave up four runs, but the cardinals bullpen was ineffective giving up eight more runs over three innings. The loss came after St. Louis dropped a 9-6 decision Saturday as Adam Wainwright allowed six runs and could not get out of the 3rd inning. St. Louis will face the Miami Marlins today at 5:40 with Daniel Ponce de Leon on the mound. KSMO will join the game in progress after Salem Baseball.
The Texas Rangers avoided the three-game sweep by beating the Kansas City Royals Sunday at Kaufmann Stadium, 7-3. The Royals beat the Rangers Saturday, 11-4 as Witt Merrifield and Michael A Taylor each hit their second homer of the season. Mike Minor went six inning and gave up four runs in the win. The Royals will be at Cleveland this afternoon to face the Indians with Danny Duffy on the mound.

Sunday the pre-game will begin after the First Baptist Church program around 11:30 on KSMO with the first pitch at 12:10.

Both Kansas City and Texas had 15 hits in the game and both teams combined for 17 walks. The Kansas City Royals will be off today and will play Texas Saturday and Sunday afternoon at Kaufmann Stadium.
