The Salem Lady Softball Tigers game with Steelville was postponed as they did not have enough players. The game has not yet been rescheduled. The next game for the Lady Tigers will be Thursday at 4:30 at the Salem City Park Field against Dora.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers lost to the Willow Springs Bears in two straight games Tuesday: 25-20 and 25-21. The varsity falls to 5-8 on the year. The Salem JV won in three games: 18-25, 31-29 and 25-16. The Lady Tigers will travel to Thayer Thursday night for JV and varsity action beginning at 6:00.

The Salem Cross Country Team will participate in the Rolla Invitational Thursday at 4:00.

The Salem Middle School Football Tigers will host the Mountain View-Liberty Thursday at 5:30 at the SHS Field.

Paul DeJong homered and singled driving in three runs, and Yadier Molina drove in two more as St. Louis beat Atlanta Tuesday, 8-1. Austin Gomber got the win going five innings. The Cardinals go for the sweep of the series this morning at 11:10 on KSMO Radio.

Kansas City dropped its second straight extra inning game at Pittsburgh last night, 2-1 in 11 innings. Hunter Dozier drove in the tying run in the top of the 9th. The Royals and Pirates will finish up their series tonight.

The Memphis Red Birds won the AAA minor League Championship beating Durham, 14-4. Memphis used a record 66 players during the season with numerous players called up to St. Louis and brought up from Springfield.
