The Alton Lady Comets scored nine runs in the 1st inning and led 14-0 in the 4th inning before the Salem Lady Tigers rallied for eight runs of their own, but fell short losing by the score of 14-8 Tuesday. Nina Howard had two hits and four RBI while Chloe Bonner hit a two-run homer. The Lady Tigers are 7-11 on the year and will be hosting Union in the final home game of the year Thursday starting at 4:15 on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com.

St. Louis Blues General Manager Doug Armstrong announced the Blues have acquired defenseman Jakub Jerabek from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a conditional sixth-round draft pick in 2020. The 27-year old Jerabek split last season between the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Laval Rocket, the Montreal Canadiens and the Washington Capitals. The Blues will open their regular season against the Winnipeg Jets Thursday night at 6:30 on KSMO.

Patrick Mahomes rallied the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs back from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter for a 27-23 win over the Denver Broncos on Monday night. The Chiefs (4-0) took a two-game lead over the Broncos (2-2) in the AFC West with their sixth straight win over their rivals.
