The Salem Lady Volleyball Varsity Tigers lost to the Ava Bears in the final home game of the year at the SHS Gym Tuesday in two straight games. The Lady Tigers also lost to Plato Monday in two straight games while the JV won their matches against both the Ava Bears and Plato in two straight games. The Lady Tigers will play in the Sparta Tournament on Saturday.

The Salem Softball Tigers will play Osage at Bolivar this Thursday at 6:00 in district play. Salem is seeded 3rd in the Class 3, District 10 tournament. That game can be heard on KSMO Radio starting at about 5:45 with Tiger Talk and Coach Phillip Karr. Admission to the game at Bolivar will be $5.00 for any person six years of age and older.

Washington scored seven runs in the 1st inning and then held on to beat the St. Louis Cardinals, 7-4 to sweep the National League Championship Series, 4 games to none. The Nationals will make their first ever trip in franchise history to the World Series and will face either the Houston Astros or New York Yankees.

The St. Louis Blues will be home to play the Vancouver Canucks Thursday starting right after Salem Lady Tiger District Softball from Bolivar.
