The Salem Basketball Tigers opened their 2025-26 regular season at Licking Tuesday night against the Wildcats in the Cat Classic. In the Salem Varsity Lady Tigers game, Keely Gorman of Licking led the way as she scored 20 points and had five steals in the Lady Wildcats 61-31 win over Salem. Hadlee Davis netted 13 more points for Licking in the win while the Salem Lady Tigers were led by Clara Ball with nine points. The Lady Tigers JV team beat Licking by a final score of 38-23 in the first match of the night. In the Salem Varsity Boys game, Braiden Gapsch scored 21 points followed by Lincoln Thomas who tallied 13 more as the Tigers beat the Wildcats for the first time since 2011, 53-45. Karson Walker scored 17 points for Licking and Jason Ingram added 14 more for the Wildcats. The Salem JV Tigers also beat Licking, 52-25 as Salem won three of the four games played Tuesday night. The Licking Boys and Girls will participate in the Frisco League Tournament starting on Saturday. The Salem Lady Tigers will be off until December 8th when they host Union, while the boys will be in the FCNB Bank-It Tournament in Sullivan starting Monday night at 8:30 when the play Cuba. The game can be heard on KSMO Media streamed live starting at 8:30 and joined on KSMO Radio immediately after the St. Louis Blues game around 9:30.
The Missouri Tigers remain undefeated after beating the South Carolina State Bulldogs last night, 98-66. The Tigers will host the Cleveland State Vikings this Friday afternoon at 1:00 on KSMO Radio with pregame coverage at 12:30.
The St. Louis Blues wrap up their five-game road trip in New Jersey as they face the Devils starting with the pre-game show at 5:30 and you can hear the game live on KSMO Radio.
The Kansas City Chiefs will be in Dallas to face the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day at 3:30. The Chiefs are 6-5 and Dallas is 5-5-1 on the year.
