The Salem High School Boys Track Team won the SCA Conference Championship for the third straight year Monday. Congratulations Tigers!

Levi Jones had three hits and three RBI for Cuba to help lead them to a 13-1 win over the Salem Tigers Tuesday afternoon in five innings. Nathan Fey and Nick Smith for Cuba each had two hits and two RBI for the Wildcats. Salem falls to 6-13 with the loss. The Tigers will host the Salem Baseball Classic starting Thursday morning at 10:30 at the SHS baseball Field Complex when they play Cuba again.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers will be at Bourbon today with the varsity game only starting at 4:00. This will be the last regular season game before district play Saturday against Licking at 2:00 at Potosi.

Salem High School Boys Basketball Coach Jared Patterson will be holding a Boys Youth Basketball Camp for children from kindergarten through 5th grade the afternoons of Tuesday, May 23rd through Thursday, the 25th at the Salem Upper Elementary Gym. Kindergartners through 2nd graders camp will be from 4:00 until 5:00 followed by the 3rd through 5th grade camp from 5:00 until 6:00. The cost is $30 per child and each camper will also get a T-shirt. Signups for the camp will be due by May 23rd. Steve Matz gave up four first inning runs including a three-run homer to Taylor Ward as the LA Angels of Anaheim beat St. Louis, 5-1 for their fourth straight loss. The Cardinals and Angels play again tonight at 5:50 on KSMO.

Bobby Witt, Jr. and MJ Melendez hit first inning homers, but Baltimore scored five runs in the 4th inning, two more in the 5th and three in the 6th inning to beat the Royals, 11-7. The two teams play again tonight.
