Chad Pinder hit a two-run homer to tie the game and Marcus Simien followed with a solo shot that put Oakland on top to stay in the 5th inning as the Oakland A’s scored six times in that inning and held off the St. Louis Cardinals, 7-3. The Cardinals and Athletics wrap up their short two game series tonight at 5:20 on KSMO Radio.

The St. Louis Cardinals learned following an MRI examination of Jordan Hicks right elbow, that the reliever has a torn ulnar collateral ligament and has been placed on the 10-day injured list. Because of the injury, the Cardinals have recalled right-handed pitchers Daniel Ponce de Leon and Dominic Leone from AAA Memphis.

Hunter Dozier cracked a 9th inning grand slam as the Kansas City Royals scored five times in the top of the 9th inning and came back to beat the Cleveland Indians Tuesday, 8-6. The Royals and Indians play the rubber game of the series this afternoon in Cleveland.

St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and GlM Doug Armstrong has announced Craig Berube has signed a three –year contract to be Head Coach. Berube, who was originally named interim head coach on November 19th, 2018, led the Blues to the 2019 Stanley Cup Championship and was a finalist for the 2019 Jack Adams Award.
