Jordan Shults scored 20 points and pulled down 19 rebounds while Reese Dotson finished with 26 points as the Salem Tigers beat Lesterville Tuesday night, 79-68. Salem is 4-8 on the year and they will be at Willow Springs Friday night to start the SCA Conference schedule with the JV game at 6:00 with the varsity game to follow. The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers dropped an 81-44 decision to the Thayer Lady Bobcats. Salem was led by Taylor Norris with 11 points and Tatum Hatridge added 10 more. The loss drops Salem’s record to 9-6 on the season and 1-1 in the SCA. They will host Mountain View/Liberty Thursday night at the SHS gym.

The City of Salem Youth Soccer League will begin April 1st at Al Brown Park for ages 14 and under. Registration is going on now until February 8th at the Salem Community Center at the Armory at 1200 West Rolla Road. The cost is $25 per child. The Dallas Stars defeated the St. Louis Blues Tuesday night, 3-1 in a key Western Conference matchup. The Blues are now 10 points out of a playoff spot. The Blues will host Montreal Thursday night and the game be heard at 9:00 after Salem Lady Tiger basketball on KSMO .

Kyle Alexander had 14 points and a career-high 17 rebounds as third-ranked Tennessee beat Missouri, 87-63 Tuesday night. Freshman Xavier Pinson scored 13 points and Jordan Geist had 12 as Missouri falls to 9-4. The Tigers will be at South Carolina Saturday morning at 11:30. That game can be heard on KSMO Radio.
