The Salem Tiger Freshman Basketball team went on the road last night to defeat the Waynesville Tigers, 47-37. They’re now 7-3 on the season and will host the Rolla Bulldogs Friday night at 6:00.
After defeating the Waynesville Tigers on Monday, the Salem Varsity Basketball Tigers will be facing the 11-1 Blair Oaks Falcons during the St. James Invitational Tournament at 6:30 tomorrow evening. Salem enters the contest at 11-5.
The Lady Eagles of Bunker have their eyes set on another Tournament Championship after defeating East Carter in the BRL High School Basketball Tournament last night, 53-42. They will play in the Championship game against Clearwater who beat Ellington, 75-56.
Due to the weather forecast for the weekend the BRL High School Tournament in Clearwater has been adjusted to conclude Friday evening. The new schedule is as follows; the JV 3rd place game between Bunker and Clearwater will be tonight at 5:00 in the evening. Afterwards the Varsity Bunker Eagles will face Clearwater, while South Iron and East Carter will wrap up the night’s games. Tomorrow the Varsity Girls 3rd place game will begin at 5:00 with the Varsity Boys 3rd place game afterwards and JV Boys’ Championship game. Finally, on Friday the Varsity Girls Championship will begin at 5:00 with the Bunker Lady Eagles and Clearwater in play. The Varsity Boy’s Championship will follow with tipoff at approximately 6:30.
The Mizzou Basketball Tigers lost for the first time at home against the 21st ranked Georgia Bulldogs last night, 74-72. Mizzou will host the Oklahoma Sooners Saturday afternoon at 1:00 on KSMO Radio.
The St. Louis Blues are still searching for win number twenty as they fell to the Winnipeg Jets last night 3-1. They’ll face the currently 28-13-9 Dallas Stars Friday night.
