At the Mel Ritter Tribute Night held Tuesday night at the Bunker High School Gym, Kinsey Barton of the Bunker Lady Eagles scored 29 points to lead the Lady Eagles past the Lesterville Lady Bearcats by the score of 56-36. The Lady Eagles are now 7-5 on the year they will play Glendale tonight. In the boys game with Lesterville, Brennon Meloy scored 23 points to lead the Bunker past the Bearcats, 65-59. Braydon Radford netted 17 more points for Bunker while Jayton Skaggs contributed 10 points. The Bunker Eagles are 12-0 on the season and play Neosho tonight.
The Salem Lady Tigers game on Thursday with Cabool will be a varsity game only and will begin at 6:00. That game can be heard on KSMO Radio, and it will be video streamed on KSMO Media starting with Tiger Talk and Coach Cody Woody at 5:50. Salem enters the game with a 3-8 record. The Lady Tigers will also play Vienna this Friday night and that will also be a varsity only game and it will start at 6:00.
Radek Faksa’s 3rd period goal proved to be the difference as the St. Louis Blues beat the Calgary Flames Tuesday night, 2-1 in the first of two games this week at the Enterprise Center. Colton Parayko also scored for the Blues who will face Calgary again Thursday night. That game will be heard on KSMO on a delayed basis after Lady Tiger Basketball.
The Mizzou Tigers upset the fifth ranked Florida Gators last night. The Tigers dominated early on and after the first half, held a 16 point advantage. In the second half Florida attempted a comeback, nearly flipping the scoring stat line, but the Tigers held on for the 83-82 victory. Caleb Grill scored 22 points on the night as the Tigers leading scorer. Missouri faces Arkansas Saturday afternoon at 4:30.
