Jordan Shults and Reese Dodson each scored 14 points and Logan Chilton chipped in 12 more as the Salem Tigers ended their seven game losing streak beating Houston, 45-26 Tuesday night. Salem is 6-17 on the year and 1-5 in the SCA Conference. The Tigers will host Cabool Thursday night as part of girls and boys varsity doubleheader starting with the girls’ game at 6:00 followed by the boys contest at about 7:15. The Salem Lady Tigers broke free from a defensive first half with 19 third quarter points, then played a ball-control game in the fourth quarter to beat the Houston Lady Tigers Monday night, 45-34. Taylor Norris scored 15 points to lead the Lady Tigers as they are now 15-9 on the year and 4-2 in the SCA.

Alex Pietrangelo and Ivan Barbashev each scored twice and the St. Louis Blues won their seventh straight game, blowing out the New Jersey Devils 8-3 on Tuesday night. The St. Louis Blues will be in Phoenix Thursday night to face the Coyotes starting at 8:00. KSMO will join the Blues game in progress after Salem Tiger Basketball at about 9:15.

Missouri locked down on the final defensive possession and squeaked by Arkansas 79-78 Tuesday night. Missouri is still off the radar in terms of NCAA Tournament hopes. The Missouri Basketball Tigers will play Mississippi Saturday at 2:00 on KSMO Radio.

The City of Salem Youth Soccer League is holding late signups now through February 22nd at the Salem Community Center at the Armory at 1200 West Rolla Road during normal business hours for $35 per child. The league is for boys and girls ages 14 and under and it will start on April 1st at the Al Brown Multipurpose field.
