The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers are seeded third in the Mountain Grove Holiday Tournament and will face the 14th seeded Chadwick at 7:30 tonight. If they win, they will play at 7:30 tomorrow night against the winner of the Koshkonong-Eminence game. If they lose, they will play at 1:30 Thursday against the loser of that same game.

Jeremiah Tilmon and Javon Pickett, two players who once planned to play for Illinois, helped Missouri beat the Fighting Illini 79-63 on Saturday night at the Enterprise Center. Tilmon scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Pickett added 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting for Missouri, which broke a five-game losing streak to Illinois. Jordan Geist led the Tigers with 20 points. Missouri is now 8-3 and they will be off until Saturday whent they host Morehead State at 12:30.

David Perron had a goal and an assist, Jake Allen made 28 saves and the St. Louis Blues beat the Calgary Flames 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. Tyler Bozak and Oskar Sundqvist also scored to help St. Louis finish 2-1-0 on their trip through Western Canada. They will be home to face the Buffalo Sabres Thursday night at 6:30 and you can hear the game on KSMO Radio.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have agreed to terms with free-agent left-handed relief pitcher Andrew Miller on a two-year (2019-2020) deal with a vesting option for 2021. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. A veteran of 13 seasons in the majors, Miller, 33, has stood among the games’ top relievers over the past three seasons, enjoying All-Star campaigns in both 2016 and 2017.

Russell Wilson threw a 2-yard pass to Ed Dickson with 7:31 left for his third touchdown strike and the Seattle Seahawks clinched an NFC wild-card berth with a 38-31 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. Patrick Mahomes was 23 of 40 for 273 and three TDs, but the Chiefs failed for the second straight week to clinch the division. They have gone 1-3 in their last four games. Kansas City will play Oakland Sunday in their regular season finale with the division championship on the line.
