The Salem Baseball Tigers game with St. James Tuesday was postponed due to wet grounds. Salem is scheduled to be at Mountain View Thursday at 4:30 for an SCA Contest. Salem is 1-2 on the year.

The Salem Tennis Team defeated Waynesville 8-1 to move to 2-0 on the year. They will have their Salem Invitational this morning starting at 10:00 at the Salem City Park Tennis Courts. This afternoon at 3:00, the Salem Middle School Track team will be at St. James for their Open.

The City of Salem Parks and Recreation Department is holding signups for their Youth Baseball and Softball Leagues through Monday, April 9th. The cost is $25 per child for all boys and girls age 14 and under. You can sign up your child at the Salem Community Center@The Armory during regular business hours. Christian Yelich and Ryan Braun hit consecutive homers off Dominic Leone with two out in the ninth, sending the Milwaukee Brewers to a 5-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday night. The Cardinals and Brewers match up again tonight at 5:45 on KSMO Radio.

Jake Junis (1-0) allowed three hits in seven-plus innings as the Kansas City Royals won their first game of the year, 1-0 over Detroit. The 25-year-old right-hander walked one and struck out six. Jorge Soler drove in the game’s only run with a sacrifice fly in the second. The Royals and Tigers will play again this afternoon.

The St. Louis Blues will host the Chicago Blackhawks in their final regular season home game at 7:00 tonight. The Blues are 1 point out of the playoffs with three games left. The game can be heard on ksmoradio.com only due to Cardinal baseball on KSMO.
