The Salem Tiger Tennis Team were at Willow Springs yesterday and took 2nd place in the SCA conference tournament. Congratulations to Tatum Hatridge, Tristen James, and Logan Hubbs who all earned all-conference honors. The Tennis Team will be at Mountain Grove Thursday at 4:00 and Houston Friday at 4:00 before participating in the Osage Tournament on Saturday.

J.D. McReynolds of Sullivan no-hit the Salem Tigers Tuesday as the Salem committed six errors and dropped an 8-0 decision to the Eagles. The Tigers will be at Willow Springs on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 in a makeup game. Salem is 6-12 on the year and 4-2 in the SCA. The game can be heard on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com.

The Salem Track team will be at St. James for their invitational starting at 3:30 Thursday.

The City of Salem Park and Recreation Department wants to remind people the city park pavilions are reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Pavilion #1 with the fireplace is rented for $45 and Pavilion #2 is $35 for the day. Rentals must be paid in full to save the date. Call 729-8163 for information.

Carlos Martinez pitched 7 1/3 innings of two-hit ball and Paul Goldschmidt’s double drove in two runs as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 5-2 Tuesday. The Cards and Phillies continue their four-game series tonight at 5:50 on KSMO Radio.

The St. Louis Blues begin a three-game series with the Minnesota Wild tonight at 6:00. Due to the Cardinal broadcast, KSMO will broadcast the dame on delayed basis starting around 9:30.

The Pittsburgh Pirates edged the Kansas City Royals Tuesday night, 2-1. Carlos Santana had two hits and drove in the only Royals’ run. Kansas City will play Pittsburgh again tonight.
