Korben Barred pitched five innings of one run ball and had two hits and an RBI as the Salem Tigers beat St. Clair Tuesday, 5-1. Salem is now 5-5 on the year and 1-1 in the SCA Conference. The Tigers will host Ava Thursday at 4:30 on KSMO Media.

The Salem Tennis Team lost to Potosi in a make-up match from March Tuesday at the Salem City Park, 5-4. Salem was scheduled to participate in the West Plains Invitational this morning but it has been postponed due to the weather. Salem is 4-4 on the year.

The Salem Tiger JV Golf Team is scheduled to be at Ava this morning for a tournament starting at 10:00.

Tommy Edman had two hits and two RBI to help Adam Wainwright go to 2-1 on the year pitching 5 2/3rds innings as the St. Louis Cardinals beat Miami Tuesday, 5-1. The Cards and Marlins play today at 4:45 on KSMO Radio.

Salvador Perez hit two solo homer runs but it was Hunter Dozier’s homer in the 6th inning that proved to the difference as Kansas City beat Minnesota Tuesday in Kansas City, 4-3. The Royals will play the Twins again tonight at Kaufmann Stadium.

Charlie McAvoy scored in overtime as Boston beat the St. Louis Blues Tuesday, 3-2. Robert Thomas and Pavel Buchnevich scored for the Blues who will be at San Jose Thursday night at 9:00 on KSMO Radio.
