The Salem Baseball Tigers played the Liberty Eagles Monday and won by a score of 10-5. Haiden Sanders had five at bats, with 2 hits, and 3 RBIs. Kaiden Dubois pitched the majority of the game and tallied 7 strikeouts.

The Tigers also played yesterday shutting out the St. Clair Bulldogs by a score of 9-0. The Tigers’ bats came alive at the top of the 6th when they scored 8 of their 9 runs. Cory Ball took the mound for 6 innings before Roy Stevens finished out the top of the 7th with two strikeouts. The Tigers head to Mountain Grove on Thursday, the first pitch will be at 4:30.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers played Mountain Grove on Monday and lost by a score of 6-9. Then travel to East Carter yesterday and lost 15-0. The Salem Tennis Tigers shutout Liberty by a score of 9-0. They played Osage yesterday and lost by a score of 9-0. Today they’ll be on the road to attend the West Plains’ Invitational.

The Cardinals are mourning the loss of legendary Hall of Famer Dorrel ‘Whitey’ Herzog who passed away at the age of 92. He lead the Cardinals to 3 World Series in the ‘80s.
