The Salem Tiger Tennis Team lost to Rolla Monday, five matches to four. The Tigers will host Mountain View-Liberty in a makeup match today at 4:00 and then take on Licking Thursday at 4:00. Those matches will both be at the Salem City Park Tennis Courts.

The Salem Golf Team will participate in the St. James Tournament starting at 8:00 this morning. They will be at Ava tomorrow morning for a match starting at 10:00.

The Salem Middle School Track Teams will be at Cuba for a meet this afternoon starting at 3:30.

Late signups are now being accepted for the City of Salem Parks and Recreation Department’s Youth Baseball, T-Ball and Softball Leagues through Friday, April 20th. The cost is now $35 per child for all boys and girls age 14 and under. You can sign up your child at the Salem Community Center@The Armory during regular business hours from 8:00 in the morning until 4:30 in the afternoon. Matt Carpenter hit a two-run home run with no outs in the 11th inning to lift the St. Louis Cardinals over the Milwaukee Brewers 5-3 on Tuesday night. The Cards and Brewers wrap up their three game series starting at 11:20 this morning on KSMO Radio.

Felix Hernandez pitched into the sixth inning, Guillermo Heredia homered and the Seattle Mariners bounced back from a blowout loss to Kansas City with an 8-3 rout of the Royals on Tuesday night. The Royals and Mariners play this afternoon at Kaufmann Stadium to conclude their three game series.
