The St. Clair Football Bulldogs beat the Salem Tigers Friday night in the season opener for Salem, 19-13. Kaden Coffman had a 60-yard touchdown run and Garrett Connell hit Bradley Gover for a touchdown pass, but it was not enough. Salem will be at Houston Friday night to face the Tigers in SCA Play at 7:00.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers will host Van Buren this afternoon at 4:30 at the Salem City Park in their first game of the year. You can hear the game on KSMO and watch in on Facebook on KSMO Streams as well as Twitch on ksmoradio.com.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers will be at Eminence to start their regular season tonight at 5:30.

Tyler Badie rushed the ball 25 times for 203 yards and a touchdown, and Conner Bazelak was 21 of 32 passing for 257 yards as the Missouri Tigers opened their season with a 34-24 win over Central Michigan. The Tigers will be at Kentucky Saturday night to face the Wildcats in SEC Conference play at 6:30.

Max Scherzer pitched eight innings for the LA Dodgers giving up five hits and an unearned run as the Dodgers beat St. Louis Monday, 5-1. The cards came into the game dropping two of three from Milwaukee over the weekend. The Cards and Dodgers play again tonight at 6:45 on KSMO after Lady Tiger Softball.

Salvado Perez’s single tied the game in the 8th inning and Andrew Benintendi drove in the eventual winning run as the Kansas City Royals rallied to beat the Baltimore Orioles Monday, 3-2. The Royals came into the game taking two of three from the Chicago White Sox over the weekend. The Royals and Orioles play again tonight in Baltimore.
