The Lebanon Lady Yellow Jackets beat the Salem Lady Softball Tigers, 3-1 to send them to their sixth straight loss. Ashton Bowers had two hits for Salem who will be off until Thursday when they will be at Dora starting at 4:30. Salem is 3-7 on the year.

The Salem Lady Tigers beat St. James Monday night, three games to 1 to improve to 3-5-1 on the year. The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers will be at Cabool this evening starting at 5:30 in SCA Conference play.

Jon Lester earned his 200th career win and Nolan Arenado homered and drove in two runs to reach 100 RBI for the season as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Milwaukee Brewers Monday, 5-2. It was the 9th straight win for the Cardinals. The Cards will be at Milwaukee again tonight at 5:45 to face the Brewers.

The Kansas City Royals swept a double header from the Cleveland Indians Monday, winning the first game, 7-2 as Hunter Dozier, Andrew Benintendi and Salvador Perez each hit two-run homers in the game. In the second game, the Royals threw a bullpen game and held Cleveland to four hits as Kansas City won, 4-2. The Royals and Indians play again tonight.

The Kansas City Chiefs lost to Baltimore Sunday night by the score of 36-35 as the Chiefs’ Clyde Edwards-Helaire fumbled the ball in the Ravens zone with 1:20 seconds left as the Chiefs were driving for the winning score. Patrick Mahomes was 24-21 for 343 yards passing with three touchdowns and an interception. Kansas City drops to 1-1 on the year and will host the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday at noon.
