The Salem JV Football Tigers fell to the Thayer JV Monday night by the score of 38-6. Salem is now 2-2 and they play Ava Monday night.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers will be on the road at Steelville today at 4:30. They enter the game with a 3-6 record. THE GAME TODAY HAS BEEN POSTPONED AS THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH LADY CARDINALS TO PLAY.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers begin their SCA Conference Play tonight at Willow Springs. The Lady Tigers are 5-7 on the year.

Kolten Wong hit the first of four St. Louis homers and finsihed with 3 RBI while Miles Mikolas won his third straight start and the Cardinals beat the NL East-leading Atlanta Braves 11-6 on Monday night. St. Louis has 35 victories since the All-Star break, the most in the National League, and has won two straight after losing four in a row. The Cardinals also got homers from Paul DeJong, Harrison Bader and Yadier Molina, are 1/2 game ahead of Colorado for the second NL wild card. The Cardinals and Braves play again tonight at 5:40 on KSMO radio.

Rookie Jacob Stallings hit a two-out single in the bottom of the ninth inning to rally the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 7-6 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Monday night. The Royals and Pirates will play again tonight.
