The Salem Lady Varsity Volleyball Tigers, coming off a 2nd place finish in the Silver Division at the West Plains Showdown on Saturday, got their first win at home this year as they beat the Cuba Wildcats in three straight sets: 25-14, 25-16 and 25-22. The JV also won in two straight sets: 25-12 and 26-24. Tonight, the Lady Trojans from Potosi will be in town for a non-conference match that will begin with the JV contest at 5:30 with the varsity match to follow at about 6:30. Yesterday in Your World Today, we mistakenly reported the Bunker Lady Volleyball Eagles would host Bismarck Monday night. That match is tonight at with the JV contest starting at 5:00 with the varsity match to follow around 6:30. The Bunker varsity is 3-7-1 on the year and the JV is 1-3. The Bismarck varsity is 13-1 on the year.

The St. Louis Cardinals started a new three game series against the Cincinnati Reds yesterday. Down early in the game, the Cards battled back to take a one run lead in the sixth. However the Cards proceeded to give up eight runs to the Reds in the final three innings, dropping the first game in the series 11-6. St. Louis looks to rebound this evening on KSMO Radio, 1340 AM & 95.7 FM with pregame coverage starting at 5:50. 

The Seattle Mariners are in Kansas City to face the Royals in Kauffman Stadium tonight at 6:40.
