In JV Football action Monday night at Houston, the Salem JV was shutout by the Houston Tigers, 30-0. The freshman played one half of football and defeated Houston, 16-8. Andrew Harris scored on a three-yard run and Carlnez Head added a two-yard run for the Salem Freshman, while Levi Halbrook and Ryan Halinar teamed up for 2 two-point conversions. The JV will host Thayer Monday at 6:00 while the Freshman will play Camdenton Monday at 5:00 in Salem. The JV is 1-2 on the year and the freshman are 1-0.

The Salem Volleyball Lady Tigers will host Potosi tonight starting at 5;30 with the JV match followed by the varsity contest. You can hear the varsity match on KSMO Media beginning around 6:30 to 6:45. They enter the match with a 1-6-1 record.

Cedric Mullins slugged a grand slam while Gunnar Henderson smacked a solo shot as Baltimore defeated St. Louis Monday, 11-5. Willson Contreras had three hits and two RBI for St. Louis, his 4th straight game with multiple hits and RBI’s. The Cards and Orioles play again tonight at 4:40 on KSMO.

The Kansas City Royal/Chicago White Sox game Monday was postponed due to rain and will be made up today in a split doubleheader on the south side of Chicago.
