The Salem Lady Softball Tigers got their first win of the year in blow-out fashion as they beat the Waynesville Lady Tigers by the score of 16-1 in the bottom of the 4th inning. Salem had only six hits and was given 13 walks plus four girls were hit by a pitch. Lexy Woolman, Brooke Adams, Nina Howard and Reggie Parks each had two RBI in the game. The Lady Tigers are now 1-4 on the year and they will be at Cuba Thursday to face the Lady Wildcats.

The Salem JV Football Team beat Houston Monday, 20-12. They are now 2-1 on the year and will travel to Thayer face the Thayer Lady Bobcats Monday at 6:00

Matt Adams hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning to rally the St. Louis Cardinals to an 8-7 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday night. St. Louis moved two games ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the race for the second wild card spot in the NL. The Cardinals and the Prates play again tonight starting at 6:20 on KSMO Radio.

White Sox reliever Jeanmar Gomez threw away a bunt in the 10th inning Monday night, giving the Kansas City Royals a 4-3 win over Chicago. The Royals and the White Sox will tangle again tonight at Kaufmann Stadium.
