The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers lost in two straight games to the Owensville Dutchgirls in District play at Union Monday night. The Lady Tigers finished the year with a 9-20 record.

The City of Salem Youth Basketball League registration will be held now through October 26th at the Salem Community Center@The Armory at 1200 West Rolla Road between 8:00 in the morning and 4:30 in the afternoon. The league is available for boys and girls from the 1st through the 6th grade. The 1st and 2nd grade teams will be co-ed. The games will be held at the Salem High School in December every Saturday starting on December 1st. The cost is $25 per player. Bryan Little tied it late in the third period and Jacob Trouba scored in overtime to help the Winnipeg Jets overcome a two-goal deficit and beat the St. Louis Blues 5-4 on Monday night. The Blues will be in St. Louis to face the Columbus Blue Jackets starting at 6:30 on KSMO Radio.
