The St. Louis Blues will wrap up their four-game road trip tonight in Winnipeg starting at 6:30 on KSMO Radio.

Sunday night, the St. Louis Cardinals saw first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, second baseman Tommy Edman, third baseman Nolan Arenado, left fielder Tyler O’Neill and center fielder Harrison Bader named National League recipients of the 2021 Rawlings Gold Glove Award for defensive excellence. It is the first time that any MLB team has had five individual award winners in a single season and the most by any team since the Cardinals and Seattle Mariners had four each in 2003. First time winners were Tommy Edman and Harrison Bader while Tyler O’Neill captured his second. For Paul Goldschmidt, it was his fourth and Nolan Arenado has now won nine in a row. The St. Louis Cardinals have had 96 Rawlings Gold Glove selections since the award originated in 1957 and that is the most among all Major League teams. It is the 31st time the Cardinals have had multiple Gold Glove winners in the same season and the fourth time the franchise has had at least four winners in one year (1963, 2002, 2003 and 2021.)

The St. Louis Cardinals announced that they have agreed to terms with free agent left-handed relief pitcher T. J. McFarland on a one-year contract for the upcoming 2022 season. McFarland went 4-1 with a 2.56 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 38 appearances. The left-hander induced 12 double plays to establish a new Cardinals reliever record after the All-Star Break which tied for most double plays among Major League relievers last season.

The Kansas City Royals had two players receive Gold Glove Awards that were announced Sunday night. Left fielder Andrew Benintendi and center fielder Michael A. Taylor each won their first Gold Glove Award.
