Sports – Tuesday, March 25th 2025

In Monday’s sports report, we erroneously said the Salem Lady Tigers lost to Portageville in the first game of their round robin tournament Saturday in Ellsinore, 10-9. The Lady Tigers actually won that game with two runs in the bottom of the last inning to beat Portageville, 11-10. We apologize for the error. They will have their home opener today starting at 4:30 against Ellington. You can hear the game starting at 4:15 with Tiger Talk and Coach Cody Woody on KSMO Radio and video stream the game on KSMO Media which includes ksmoradio.com, the KSMO YouTube Page and KSMO Stream Facebook page.

Cayden Moody went 3-4 with three runs scored and an RBI to help lead the Salem Baseball Tigers to an 8-4 win over Steelville Monday at Steelville. Corby Ball had a hit and three RBI for Salem who banged out ten hits in the game and took advantage of three Steelville errors. Bryar Bobbitt got the start and the win for Salem, and Dannon Berry threw 2 1/3rds innings of scoreless relief to seal the victory. Salem is now 2-0-1 on the year and will play Ellington Thursday at the SHS Baseball Field Complex in a game whose start time has been moved up to 4:00. That game will only be video streamed on KSMO Media due to it being the St. Louis Cardinals Opening Day Ceremonies.

The St Louis Blues are on home ice tonight set to play the Montreal Canadiens. You can listen to this game live on KSMO Radio with pre-skate coverage to begin at 6:30 this evening or immediately following Salem Lady Tiger Softball.
