Five Salem Tigers were named to the Class 4, District 3 All-District basketball team. For the Lady Tigers, named to the team were seniors Ashton Bowers, Savannah Manthey and Avery Erway. For the boys, senior Gunnar Konkel and junior Bryson May were named to the team. Congratulations on a great district run!

Gibson Halbert scored the only run of the game on a wild pitch in the 6th inning as the Steelville Cardinals beat Salem Monday at Steelville, 1-0. Carson Mullen pitched six innings for the Cardinals and gave up just one hit and struck out 12 while Bronson Crocker of Salem threw five innings and struck out eight and gave up just one hit. The Tigers are now 1-2 and they will host Ellington Thursday at 4:30 and that contest will be on KSMO Media.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers game today with Ellington has been postponed and rescheduled for Monday at 4:30 at the Salem City Park.

Salem Tiger Tennis match scheduled for today at Licking has been postponed. No makeup date has yet been determined.

Jake Woodord threw five shutout innings and St. Louis exploded for four runs in the 6th inning en route to a 5-0 win over Miami Monday. St. Louis improves to 14-6 in the spring and they will play the Washington Nationals today.

The Kansas City Royals were off Monday and will play the Chicago Cubs tonight.

The St. Louis Blues host the Detroit Red Wings tonight at 6:30 on KSMO Radio.
