The St. Louis Cardinals announced they have completed a three-team trade with the Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers by acquiring top-rated American League starting pitcher Erick Fedde and former Cardinals outfielder Tommy Pham from the White Sox, while utility player Tommy Edman and minor league right-handed pitcher Oliver Gonzalez were sent to the Dodgers. The Cardinals will also receive a player to be named later from the Dodgers and cash considerations from the White Sox.
The St. Louis Cardinals played the Rangers yesterday and after an early 2-1 lead the Rangers would claim victory over the Cards, 3-6. The Cards play the Rangers again this afternoon with pregame getting started at 5:50, tune into KSMO 1340 AM & 95.7 FM to listen live.
The Kansas City Royals played the White Sox yesterday, this was an exciting one for the Royals as there were three lead changes before the 8th inning where Kansas City found themselves down 2-5. Then in the top of the eighth inning with a 9.4% win probability, according to MLB.com, the Royals would knock two home runs and one grand slam home run out of the park. This would put them up 8-5 and swing their win probability 83 percentage points. The score would go unchanged in the ninth for a Royals win. Game two will be this evening at 7:10.
