The St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Angels started a three game series last night in Anaheim. During the second inning, Nathan Church and Blaze Jordan each batted in a run for the Red Birds. Then in the third, the Angels responded with a solo home run. The score would remain unchanged until in the bottom of the ninth a deep right field shot that nearly left the park allowed the Angels to score the tying run. Shortly thereafter, Cardinals’ pitcher, Riley O’Brien hit Jo Adell with a pitch while the bases were loaded for a walk-off Angels’ victory, 3-2. Game two will be live tonight on KSMO Radio, 1340 AM and 95.7 FM, with pregame coverage starting at 7:45.
