The Salem Boys Basketball will host Lesterville tonight at the SHS Gym starting with the JV game at 6:00 followed by the varsity game at 7:15 You can hear the varsity game on KSMO and online at ksmoradio.com. Salem is 3-8 entering the game.

The Salem Lady Tigers lost to thayer Monday night, 81-44 victory. The loss drops Salem’s record to 9-6 on the season and 1-1 in the SCA. Taylor Norris had 11 points for Salem while Tatum Hatridge added 10 more. Salem will play Mountain View Thursday night at the SHS Gym.

Parents in Salem have a special opportunity to help their children develop soccer skills through a unique national program that is available. The Start Smart Soccer Program is open to youngsters ages three to five whose parent or another adult is able to attend the six, one-hour sessions with them. The Start Smart Soccer program will begin March 5th at the Salem Community Center @ the Armory at 6 PM! The Start Smart Program targets parents who want to help their child develop basic motor skills such as kicking, dribbling, trapping, throw-ins and running that are needed to participate in organized soccer. The cost of the program is $55 and the children signed up will receive a soccer ball, practices cones, and shinguards. Brayden Schenn and Vladimir Tarasenko scored and Jordan Binnington stopped 25 shots in his first NHL start to lead the St. Louis Blues past the Philadelphia Flyers 3-0 on Monday night in a listless game between two of the worst teams in the league. The Blues’ win gave them 38 points and moved them past Los Angeles out of last place in the Western Conference. The Blues host Dallas tonight at 9:00 after Salem Tiger basketball on KSMO Radio.

The Missouri Basketball Tigers host Tennessee tonight at 5:30. That game will NOT be heard on KSMO Radio due to Salem Tiger basketball and Blues hockey. Missouri is 9-3 on the year and have won six straight.
