The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers built a 16-3 lead after the 1st quarter and led at the half, 21-15, only to be outscored by Willow Springs in the 2nd half, 27-10, falling to the Lady Bears by the score of 42-31. Salem was led by Savannah Manthey with nine points followed Bella Jadwin and Avery Erway with eight points each. Salem falls to 0-2 in the SCA Conference and is 7-7 on the year. They will host the Thayer Lady Bobcats Thursday night.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers will face Soldan International Studies in the first round of the St. James Tournament on Monday, January 17th. If Salem wins, they will play Friday, January 21st at 8:00 and if they lose, they will play either Rolla or Sullivan Thursday evening, January 20th at 7:30.

The Salem Tigers Boys Freshman game tonight with Owensville has been postponed and will be played at 5:00 on Tuesday, January 18th. The Freshman Willow Springs Tournament scheduled for the week of January 17th has been postponed due to a lack of teams participating.
