At the Fall Sports banquet held last Thursday at the Salem High School, awards were handed out for football, cross country and volleyball. In football, Coach Bryson Barnes named Kaiden Dubois as the Offensive MVP while Reuben Hovey was named the Defensive MVP. Barnes awarded the Tiger Football Champion of Character Award to Caleb Ingram. Cross Country Coach Derek Freeman named Alex Diehl as the MVP and Eli Brakensiek as the Most Improved Athlete. Volleyball Coach Kristen Barnes distributed three awards. The MVP Award went to Avery Erway while the defensive Award was presented to Kylee Shalbot. The 110% Award went to Malerie Workman. Congratulations to all these players on their accomplishments!

The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers lost to the Owensville Dutchgirls Monday, 51-46 in the Peoples Classic in Sullivan. The Tigers will face Miller Career Academy Wednesday at 5:30. The Lady Tigers are 1-4 on the season.

Brayden Schenn scored the only goal in overtime as St. Louis beat Nashville, 1-0. Goaltender Jordan Binnington recorded his 100th career win in the game. The Blues will be at Edmonton Thursday night.
