Salem Football Coach Brian McNamee announced that five Salem Tigers have been honored by the Missouri Football Coaches Association. Named to the Class 3, District 5 All-District 1st Team was linebacker Sam Ball and kicker Nick Holliday, while offensive lineman Nate Case and defensive lineman Kolsey Seay were named to the All-District 2nd Team. Linebacker Sam Ball was named to the MFCA Class 3 All-State 2nd Team, plus Kolsey Seay and Brenden Smith were named to the MFCA Academic All-State. Congratulations Tigers!

The Sullivan Lady Eagles beat Salem in the 1st Round of the People’s Bank Tournament in Sullivan, 61-56. Salem will play Cuba at 4:00 Wednesday at Sullivan in the Consolation Bracket. Salem is now 4-2 on the year.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers will host the Rolla Bulldogs tonight in non-conference play. The JV game will be at 6:00 with the varsity game to follow. Salem is 1-5 on the year. They will host Rolla tomorrow night. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 5-0 record. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com.

The Missouri Tigers will put their three-game winning streak on the line tonight when they host Xavier at Mizzou Arena. That game will NOT be aired on KSMO due to the Salem Boys game. Missouri is 6-3 on the season.

St. Louis Blues welcome the Florida Panthers to the Enterprises Center tonight in a game that will have a delayed start after Salem Boys Basketball on KSMO. The Blues have announced they have recalled goaltender Jordan Binnington from the club’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage. In addition, the Blues assigned forward Sammy Blais to the minor league club.
