The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers dominated Rush in the first round of the Norwood “Scallywag Showdown” Monday night, 70-24. Ashton Bowers and Savannah Manthey each had 12 points while Madison Woolf added another 11 for the Lady Tigers. Salem is now 3-0 on the year. The Lady Tigers will be off until Thursday when they face Norwood at 7:30.

The Salem Boys basketball Tigers will host West Plains tonight. It will be a triple header with the 9th grade playing at 5:00 followed by the JV game. The varsity game will begin about 7:30. You can hear the varsity game on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com. Salem enters the game with a 2-2 record.

The St. Louis Blues will be in Buffalo tonight. KSMO will delay the start of the broadcast and will join the game in progress after Salem Tiger Basketball.

The Missouri Tigers will announce former Appalachian State coach Eli Drinkwitz as the new Missouri head football coach this morning at 10:45. The 36-year old Drinkwitz, was in his first year coaching the Mountaineers. He led them to a 12-1 record and a Sun Belt Conference championship Saturday. Appalachian State finished No. 20 in the final College Football Playoff rankings and is headed to the New Orleans Bowl.
