The St. Louis Cardinals played a makeup game versus the Mets yesterday afternoon. The Cards couldn’t get much going and were shutout, 0-6. The Mets took the series 4-2. The Kansas City Royals played the Boston Red Sox yesterday. The Red Socks took the early lead in the top of the 2nd, 2-0. Then Royals battled back to tied the game up in the 4th but the Sox would go on to score twice in the 6th and four times in the 7th, overwhelming the Royals and taking the first game of the series 9-5. Game two will be this evening at 7:10.
