Boone Schrader doubled and scored a run and drove in the eventual game winner as Salem beat Mountain View-Liberty, 2-1 Monday. Schrader went seven innings and gave up five hits and struck out eight to go to 2-1 on the year. Salem is 3-6 on the year and 2-0 in the SCA Conference. The Tigers will host the Mountain Grove Thursday afternoon at 4:30 at the SHS Field.

The Salem Tiger Tennis Team will be at Willow Springs today at 4:00.

The Salem Tiger Track Teams will host the Salem Invitational Track Meet this afternoon at the Salem track starting at 2:30.

The Salem 5K Fun Run/Walk returns this Saturday to the Salem Community Center@The Armory. The event starts at 8:00 in the morning and is sponsored by the Salem Running Club, the Salem Memorial District Hospital, Healthy Dent County and the Dent County Health Center. There is no charge to attend and the event is open to everyone. You can walk, skip, run, anything just as long as you are moving. Paul Goldschmidt scored on a Joe Kelly wild pitch in the 6th inning to give St. Louis the lead and Marcel Ozuna hit a two-run homer as the Cardinals beat the LA Dodgers, 4-3. Miles Mikolas got the win going six innings and giving up three runs for the Cards who play Dodgers again tonight starting at 5:40 on KSMO.

Seattle scored eight runs in the 6th inning en route to a 13-5 route of Kansas City Monday night. The Royals continue their series with the Seattle Mariners tonight at Kaufmann Stadium.
