The Salem Baseball Tigers game with Thayer Monday was postponed due to wet grounds. They are scheduled to be at St. James today at 4:30, weather permitting. Salem is 1-2 on the year. If the game is played, you can hear it on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com.

The Salem Track Teams are scheduled to be at the Mountain View-Liberty High School for a meet this afternoon at 4:00. The Salem Tennis team is scheduled to be at Waynesville today at 4:00 and the Salem Golf Team is supposed to be at Willow Springs this afternoon at 4:00. All these contests will be held weather permitting.

Pitcher Miles Mikolas hit a home run and got the win as the Cardinals beat the Brewers, 8-4. Paul DeJong connected for his third homer this year to boost the Cardinals by driving in three runs. Tonight Jack Flaherty for the Cards will face Milwaukee at 5:45 on KSMO Radio.

Francisco Liriano pitched into the seventh inning in his Detroit debut and Victor Martinez drove in three runs to give the Tigers their first win of the season, 6-1 over the Kansas City Royals on a chilly Monday. Jason Hammel took the loss for the Royals who will play Detroit this afternoon.

Nicklas Backstrom started a three-goal second period and the surging Washington Capitals beat the St. Louis Blues 4-2 on Monday night. The Blues will host the Chicago Blackhawks in a home and home series starting Wednesday night at 6:30. The game can be heard on ksmoradio.com due to Cards baseball on KSMO.
