The Salem Lady Softball Tigers will travel to Owensville this afternoon to face the Dutchgirls at 4:30. Salem has lost its last three games and is 6-9 on the season.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers host Mountain Grove tonight in SCA play starting at 6:00 with the JV action. The varsity match can be heard on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com. The Lady Tigers are 6-10 on the year having lost their last three matches. They are 1-2 in the SCA Conference.

The Salem Middle School Football Tigers will be at Cabool today for games starting at 5:30.

The Milwaukee Brewers clinched their first playoff spot since 2011, ensuring at least a spot in the NL wild-card game when Jhoulys Chacin pitched five shutout innings to beat the St. Louis Cardinals 2-1 Wednesday night for a three-game sweep. The Cards have day off today before going to Chicago for the final regular season series.

Rookie Heath Fillmyer struck out a career-high nine, Adalberto Mondesi tripled, stole two bases and scored twice, and the Kansas City Royals wrapped up their 2018 road schedule with a 6-1 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday night. The Royals will be finishing up the regular season starting tonight against the Cleveland Indians.
