The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers will be at Licking to face the Lady Wildcats today. The 9th grade will play at Licking starting at 5:00 followed by the JV contest and then varsity match. Salem is 2-3 going into the match. The Lady Tigers will then participate in the Cabool Tournament Saturday.

The Salem Middle School Football team will be at Mountain Grove this evening at 5:30. The 7th grade team is 0-1 on the year while the 8th graders are 1-0.

The Salem Middle School and High School Cross Country team will be in Steelville this afternoon at 4:00 to participate in a meet.

Lars Nootbaar and Nolan Arenado homered Wednesday, and Adam Wainwright and Yadier Molina set a new Major League record for being the starting battery of a game for the 325th time to pass Bill Freehan and Mickey Lolich of the Detroit Tigers as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-1. Albert Pujols doubled in a run and Molina drove in a run with a single. The Red Birds begin a five-game series with the Cincinnati Reds tonight starting at 5:50 on KSMO Radio 1340 AM and 95.7 FM.

The Minnesota Twins scored three first inning runs off Zack Greinke as the Twins went on to beat the Kansas City Royals Wednesday, 4-0. Kansas City was limited to five hits in the game. The Twins and Royals finish out their series tonight as Minnesota goes for the sweep tonight at Target Field.

The Kansas City Chiefs hold their first home game tonight starting at 7:15 against the Los Angeles Charges. The Chiefs and Charges are both 1-0.
