The Salem Volleyball Lady Tigers will host Licking tonight starting with the freshman playing one set followed by the JV and varsity matches. You can hear the varsity match on KSMO Radio AM 1340 and FM 95.7, or watch the video streams on KSMO Media beginning around 6:30 to 6:45. Salem enters the match with a 1-8-1 record.

The Salem Cross Country teams will be at Steelville today.

The Salem Tigers 7th and 8th grade football teams will host Mountain Grove tonight at Bill Schuchardt stadium starting at 5:30 with the 7th grade game with the 8th grade game to follow. The 7th grade Tigers are 1-0 while the 8th graders are 0-1.

There will be a Missouri Trout Fisherman’s Association Tournament this weekend at Montauk State Park. The tournament is open to everyone including visitors. Those who want to participate need to register Friday night from 6:30 to 8:15, or on Saturday morning from 6:30 to 8:00. Anglers entering the tournament will pay an entry fee and prizes will be awarded for tagged fish caught during the derby. Richie Palacios hit a two out 4th inning home run and Drew Rom went 5 1/3rd innings to get his 1st major league win as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Baltimore Orioles Wednesday night, 1-0 to win the series. The Cards are off today.

Salvador Perez had three hits as Kansas City beat the Chicago White Sox Wednesday, 7-1. The Royals have the day off.
