The Salem Lady Softball Tigers had 14 hits and were given 11 walks as they trounced the St. James Tigers Wednesday in Class 3 District 10 softball action at Sullivan, 18-4 in five innings. Tatum Hatridge was 2 for 2 with four RBI while Denise Stoner, Brooke Adams and Reggie Parks each had two hits and three RBI. Addie Kunkel went five innings and gave up two hits and four runs, but none of them were earned due to two Salem errors. Salem will face the #1 seeded Sullivan Lady Eagles today at 4:30 at Sullivan in District semi-final. Salem is 8-11 on the year. The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers will host Houston in SCA Conference action tonight at the SHS gym starting at 6:00 with the JV game followed by the varsity match. Salem is 1-4 in the SCA Conference and 8-15 on the season.

The Salem Middle School Football Tigers will finish out their year with a game today against West Plains at the Salem High School Football Field. The games will begin at 5:30.

The City of Salem Youth Basketball League registration will be held now through October 26th at the Salem Community Center@The Armory at 1200 West Rolla Road. The league is available for boys and girls from the 1st through the 6th grade. The 1st and 2nd grade teams will be co-ed. The games will be held at the Salem High School in December every Saturday starting on December 1st. The cost is $25 per player. This Saturday morning at 8:00, Healthy Dent County, the Salem Running Club and the Salem Memorial District Hospital will be holding a 5k Fun Run/Walk from the Salem Community Center@The Armory through town. Everyone is welcome and the run is absolutely free!

The St. Louis Blues will host the Calgary Flames tonight at 6:30 on KSMO Radio or immediately after Lady Tiger softball.
