The St. Louis Cardinals sent 14 men to the plate in the 1st inning and scored ten runs en route to a 13-1 pasting of the Atlanta Braves to win the National League Divisional Series, 3 games to 2. The Cardinals received RBI hits from Marcell Ozuna, Tommy Edman, Dexter Fowler and Kolten Wong. The ten runs in the 1st inning set a playoff record. Jack Flaherty went 6 innings and gave up four hits and one run to get the win. The Cards will host the first two games of the NLCS starting Friday night against Washington

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers are seeded third in Class 3, District 10 and will play Osage at Bolivar on Thursday, October 17th at 6:00. That game can be heard on KSMO Radio.

The Salem Lady Softball will be at Union to face the Lady Bearcats this afternoon at 4:30 in their final regular season game. The Lady Tigers are 19-4 on the year.

The St. Louis Blues will be in Ottawa tonight to face the Senators starting at 6:00 on KSMO Radio. The Blues enter the game with a 2-0-1 record.

St. Louis Blues forward Brayden Schenn signed an eight-year contract extension with the St. Louis Blues last weekend worth $52 million. Schenn’s deal will keep him in St. Louis through the 2027-28 season. If unsigned, he would have become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
