The Salem Basketball Tigers led after three quarters of play by a score of 55-43, but the Potosi Trojans, led by senior Noah Jacobson, outscored the Salem Tigers in the 4th quarter 34-12 and beat the Tigers, 77-67. Jacobson finished with 39 points and scored 22 of them in the 4th quarter alone. Salem was led by Jordan Shults with 16 points. Salem falls to 0-3 on the year and they will play St. Clair in the 7th place game this afternoon at 4:20 on KSMO and online at ksmoradio.com.

The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers will be at Owensville tonight at 6:00 to face the Dutchgirls in non-conference play. The JV game will be first with the varsity game to follow. Salem is 1-0 going into the game.

Tyler Bertuzzi broke a tie with 6:53 to go with his second goal of the game and the Detroit Red Wings held on to beat the St. Louis Blues 4-3 on Wednesday night. David Perron scored twice for St. Louis, Vladimir Tarasenko added a goal and Jake Allen stopped 27 shots. The Blues have lost five of their last six. The Blues will continue their road trip in Colorado Friday night starting at 7:30 on KSMO Radio.
