The Healthy Dent County Fitness Center will be holding their first ever Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, November 10th at the Salem Community Center@The Armory at 1200 West Rolla Road. Depending on the number of teams that sign up, some Sunday play may be needed. The tournament will highlight only two player teams and all ages are welcome to participate. The cost is $5.00 per person and payment may be made the day of the tournament. However, you must register by Friday, November 9th in order to participate. Registration forms are available at the Salem Community Center, or you can have one e-mailed to you. Forms can be turned in at the Community or e-mail them to sarahmontoya82@gmail.com. Minor League Baseball and the Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) have announced that Hammons Field has been named the 2018 Double-A Field of the Year. It marks the fifth time in the last six years, and sixth time overall, that Hammons Field has won the award over the other 29 Double-A teams. The Springfield Cardinals and Hammons Field first captured the prestigious award in 2008.

The St. Louis Blues will host the Golden Nights of Las Vegas tonight at 7:00. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio starting at 6:30 with the pre-game show. The Blues are 1-1 on this seven game home stand and are in last place in the Central Division with 9 points, but have played two fewer games than most of the teams.
